Service Description

Are you baffled by some of the behaviour you're seeing? Perhaps there's lots of yelling, arguing, crying, hitting, running away? Are you looking for more information to understand why these behaviours are happening and how you might be able to help?... This course is designed to introduce you to the science of behaviour, including strategies to build improved relationships, foster skill development, and help others in their times of distress. Each week we'll focus our attention on a new topic and by the end of the course you'll have a great understanding of behaviours and interactions you're seeing in everyday life. Sessions will be held on Thursday mornings at 10.30am, delivered entirely online across five consecutive weeks. Each session will start with approximately one hour of learning time in a webinar format, and follow with a group forum. This gives you the opportunity to remain online and clarify your learning, hear practical examples, ask questions, and to relate to others in a more relaxed community environment. The course is suitable for anyone wanting to learn more about human behaviour, but especially those who support and assist others who demonstrate concerning behaviours. In previous sessions introducing behaviours this has included parents/carers, educators, disability support workers, junior therapists, and more. If you don't fall into one of these groups, feel free to leave your details with the team and we can chat about whether the content is likely to be beneficial for your unique circumstance. Session dates: 28 October 4 November 11 November 18 November 25 November A couple of final notes... - If you need an invoice in order to register and make payment you can leave a message with the Behaviour Detectives team (0432 753 884 or help@behaviourdetectives.com.au) - If you're unable to attend the live sessions each week you can request access to the webinar recording via link. You're strongly encouraged to attend the live sessions, because this gives you an opportunity to participate in the group forum (not recorded) and ask Katrina your questions. The open forum has been the "game changer" for most previous participants! - If you're genuinely unable to afford the attendance fee please make contact so we can work something out for you! - This session will run subject to minimum numbers of attendance. Fair use policy applies, with registration per individual/household (ie. family members attend via single login).
